Climate Data Dissemination System
The Climate Data Dissemination System (CDDS) is a Python-based system that manages the reprocessing of HadGEM3/UKCM2 and UKESM climate model data into a standards compliant (CMOR) form suitable for publication and sharing. CDDS has been used for CMIP6, CMIP6Plus and has been redeveloped to support the CMIP7 data requirements.
Alongside the CMIP phases CDDS has been used for CORDEX processing, processing regional model output, and a generic project called GCModelDev has been constructed to support UK scientists who wish to prepare CMIP style data. Note that the GCModelDev project is not intended to prepare data for publication -- anyone wanting to publish data or prepare it for an external project is encouraged to contact the CDDS team.
